Dry Needling

a.ka. Western/ Medical Acupuncture

Dry needling involves the insertion of acupuncture needles into myofascial trigger points (taught bands found in the muscle and connective tissue known as fascia), into motor control points (areas where there are small bundles of nerves), or into joint spaces, particularly around tendon or ligamentous insertion.  They help regulate muscle tone (both excessive tone and laxness), may assist with inflammation, and alleviates pain by triggering the body’s natural endorphins.

Michael originally trained as an Acupuncturist at the former Australian College of Natural Medicine, now Endeavour College.  In more recent years, Michael completed a Dry Needing certification with Manual Medicine Australia.
